NARRATIVE ADVENTURE JOOJEE’S JOURNEY AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER ON NINTENDO SWITCH™ NOW
Embark on a whimsical, narrative adventure in Joojee’s Journey, a side-scrolling platformer published by DigiPen Game Studios (DGS) and developed by Digital Innovative Design & Technology Center (DIDTC). Joojee’s Journey is launching exclusively on Nintendo Switch™ on 11 November 2021, with pre-orders now available on the Nintendo eShop.
Imagine waking up one day without knowing who you are. This quest for self-discovery and identity is at the heart of Joojee’s Journey, where players take on the role of the titular character. Joojee is a lovable bunny who suddenly wakes up without her memory. Armed with nothing but her charm and a mysterious magic brush that allows her to enter anyone’s mind, Joojee goes on a journey to recover her lost memories while helping others overcome their own troubles in the process. To do so, players have to solve riddles and puzzles, complete platformer sequences, and piece together heartwarming character backstories that
will bring both laughter and tears in this narrative experience.
Joojee’s Journey is based on the popular webcomic series, Joojee and Friends, that was created by Thai artist and illustrator Napussaya Navalong. Napussaya is known by her moniker, Mindmelody, and has been creating characters for Joojee and Friends since 2012. All the characters are different animals and hand drawn in soft, pastel shades.
“Everyone loves a good story, regardless of their age and where they’re from. This was the inspiration behind the game, as we wanted to bring the relatable story of Joojee and Friends to life through a game that players can experience for themselves,” Ravisr Jump Manomaivibul, producer of Joojee’s Journey, says. “The team has worked hard on this and we are very excited to take everyone on this special adventure with Joojee and her friends.” In order to ensure that Joojee’s story reaches as many fans as possible, the game is available in four languages — English, French, Japanese, and Thai.
The launch of Joojee’s Journey is part of an ongoing collaboration between DGS and DIDTC. It follows the release of Bloody Bunny: The First Blood earlier this year, and is the second in a series of four games that DGS will be publishing with DIDTC.
“Following the success of Bloody Bunny: The First Blood, DGS looks forward to seeing many more Nintendo Switch players enjoy Joojee’s Journey,” Mr. Jason Chu, Chief Operating Officer — International, DigiPen Game Studios, says. “Through our partnership with DIDTC, we will continue publishing more exciting titles as we support Thailand’s indie game sector to develop more talent for the global digital economy.”
